Team Leadership
Mike Lubell joined StateFunds in 2020 as a Senior Managing Director within Capital Global. Shortly thereafter, he was named Head of StateFunds Global Equities—a position he continues to hold. He is also a member of the firm’s Portfolio Committee.
Before joining StateFunds, Mike spent over ten years at G7 Asset Management, earning recognition as both an accomplished investor and an effective business leader. He managed portfolios focused on Media, Internet, Telecom, and Services sectors and served on G7’s Risk Committee. His career began at Bear Stearns & Co. as an Equity Derivatives Strategist.
He earned his bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating magna cum laude, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
